I would think the real battles will emerge when we get down to 15-16 forwards and the rosters are getting closer to how they will actually look. When do we expect the first cuts to get us down to that level and is Sutter tipping his hand in any way?

I'm not sure ... but those are excellent points. Might also be a case of jostling to be the first call-up. For a team with its biggest holes on RW in both the AHL and NHL, every little battle matters.
I would imagine we'll see some more cuts maybe today or Wednesday.
