You’re just forcing your fan narrative on games. The season is 162 games. Do you think the players let a game get to them more when the bullpen blows it as compared to a game where the hitter got shutout or their starter got shelled? Like the fan narrative coming out of Tampa after Houston was they’d never score again. Baltimore lost 2/3 against Detroit on the weekend and it was all doom and gloom. Now Baltimore shuts out Houston twice and Tampa knows how to hit again. Fan narratives are from all I’ve seen just that. What we think of games and the causes/effects of losses has very little to the reality of the players who do it as a profession.
