I don't know if irony is the right word or not, but Iran at the street level is becoming increasingly less religious. There are polls that show nearly a third to a half of people identify as non-religious, but as the number goes up, the morality police and Islamo-fascists increase their grip. They are gearing up for a revolution I think.
