Why do people whine and complain? Johnny doesn’t owe anyone anything. He fulfilled his contractual agreement, played immensely well. The flames fulfilled their contract agreement to him as well. He never embarrassed the franchise either. Didn’t ask for a trade or put the team in a hard spot his whole time here.
He made his family decision, and good for him for putting his family (wife and child) above a fan bases desires. Very commendable of him. Why? Because he fulfilled his end of the contract - so there is zero reason to despise him, or feel belittled by him.
And BT still got the team loaded for this season. Change is always hard, but it’s good as well.
Thank you Johnny for the years you were here: for playing and caring, desiring to be the best and doing what you could everyday to be a great part of the team. All the best to you in Columbus.
