This is the line of thinking I can't understand, and I don't mean this as a shot at you btimbit.
But why keep it an all it's trappings if does nothing and has no power. Hanging onto a concept of a Family Ordained by God as being better than all the other people blows my mind.
There is no use for the Monarchy especially as it is based on a repugnant concept like being Divinely Ordained.
