A regulation carry-on can easily fit a weeks worth of clothes and a couple pairs of shoes (plus those on your feet). Also, laundry? If you're going anywhere for several weeks you'll need laundry at some point regardless.

I'm just going off my own weekend style carry on suitcase I have, that's about all you can fit in there when you include toiletries and all that. Yeah it fits in the overhead pretty easily, it could probably be a little bigger. Still not enough for 6-7 full changes of clothes though, I'm not sure how that could work in a carry-on sized bag. But as mentioned I'm an overpacker haha. I really wish I wasn't, it would make things easier...but I can't help it!
Yeah good point about laundry. Though I think I'd rather have to wait at the airport carousel for 20-30 mins then having to do laundry 2+ times/wk cuz I only have a couple changes of clothes, but that's just me.
