Based on the allegations (at least the ones I'm aware of), Prince Andrew is a rapist and was involved in sex trafficking. Those are horrific crimes on their own; people don't need to juice it up by calling him a pedophile for having sex with a 17 year old (which is the main allegation I'm aware of).

I don't know about other countries, but in Canada there is an exemption to this in the case of prostitution. Also, for anyone who is in a position of authority over the victim.

This feels like one of those knowledge vs. wisdom things. Knowledge is knowing that having sex with a post-pubescent minor is not technically pedophilia. Wisdom is not pointing this out otherwise people will wonder why you care so much.
