If I don't have a dog in the fight I'm not interested. I can't stand NFL. IMHO It is THE most over hyped, over done, over the top sport out there save for maybe NASCAR. I hear all these reasons people are fans of Atlanta? LA? Green Bay? Etc and half the time its "because I like the colors". These "fans" have never even been there.
I like America and Americans, spent plenty of time down south but no dog in the fight means I don't care.
I always switched the station in the past when its NFL and that's my prerogative. Sadly I find the current quality so poor theres nothing to listen to in morning anymore. Do like Francis and Stienberg but sure is thin now. Those morning guys including Rose, a good CFL guy, just sound like children talking about sports as if they know something we don't.

I was in the same boat for my whole life, hated the NFL. And then I watched the show QB1 on Netflix and for whatever reason it all clicked and I realized how similar hockey and football are. The physicality, the idea of going down into there end and scoring, the speed of the game (the actual game itself, each play), the Draft, building a team within the confines of a salary cap. The last 5 years now I’ve become a pretty big NFL fan. Anyways, I empathize with you but I love me some NFL chat on sports radio. Especially when there’s no hockey going on.
