It folds into the hard case that stays on top of your car, so it’s a fair bit more convenient than setting up a tent or taking one down. Generally, they feel more comfortable and I guess safer (depending on where you’re camping, though I’ve never felt unsafe really in a tent) than regular tents.
For a Porsche specifically though, some of those benefits are probably lost a little bit, but same basic idea.
