An agreement was struck with Tkachuk and the Flames. The Flames were going to trade Tkachuk to a team on his list and Tkachuk was going to sign long term with that team. If the Panthers don't make the trade he's a long term St. Louis Blue, Dallas Start or whatever today. This was their one and only chance to acquire the player. I think we all know Treliving was looking for more than futures as the Flames do not want to rebuild. Huberdeau at the very least would have had to go the other way for the Flames to accept a deal with them.
