With that line you basically created a disclaimer that can never call any trade poor going forward.
Nobody is calling Tkachuk a poor hockey player, but a team that has moved four straight 1st round picks for rentals to win now should never have massively weakened their blueline in a window year.
Really they should have found futures to get Tkachuk in to play with Barkov and leave Huberdeau on the second line to drive the rest of the top six and then let him walk.
