Jay's are in a playoff spot and don't need to catch anyone. Win enough and they put some losses on the guys chasing you. They didn't make enough hay in July and August when they needed to. To me this is better, you get an idea if this team can grind it out and beat good teams when there is more on the line. Whereas if they had a 7 game lead, play 500 ball and still get in but lose a playoff game you still have questions. This way if they miss you know what type of mettle this group has. If they make it but lose a random WC game, you at least know it's close to get thru that and still be there.

Feels like they've been unable to kick it into top gear all year. So here is their chance. Really if not for that Angel's series they are 13-2 in their last 15. Need to learn from that let down and keep those lapses to 1 game.
