Your post is an example of what I was saying. You think to earn his salary he had to be a big points guy. He never was. Yet he was a Olympic gold medalist and a Stanley cup winner. He was also an All Star while on the Flames.

Jay fricken Bouwmeester was one of the best skaters this league ever saw. He in fact anchored the Olympic blueline on the Gold Medal team in Sochi where his skating absolutely shone on the bigger ice surface. He was partnered with Doughty!
He WON a cup and again was anabsolute anchor on the the St Louis blueline and without Jaybo, no cup for St. Lou.
Under rated because he didn't fit the pre determined mold and the Flames of the period were clueless. Jaybo had the last laugh haters with a well deserved Gold Medal and a well deserved Stanley Cup Ring.
Of course...it's just my opinion.
