Exactly, he is a very solid player but I doubt anyone in NHL history has won the Norris not exceling on either the PP or PK. Also not overly great at high end tough match ups 5 on 5. Tanev is that guy for us.
So a solid #2 guy but unless he takes over the tough match up duties, or the #1 PK or the #1 PP how can anyone think he is a Norris candidate?
