Christmas is here again, and that means it's time for my family to call every possible relative we have across the country, to wish them a Merry Christmas and talk about the current weather situation.
Of course, my parents aren't the type that will "Say hi to them for me", so I end up talking to people I barely know. Distant cousins that I knew when I was 4, Aunt's who aren't blood related or I don't like, or my gay uncle's partner.
I like talking to my grandparents, and relatives I am close to. But the other one's...why do we bother? They don't want to talk to me, I don't want to talk to them, but we still converse with meaningless chatter and pretend to be interested in what each other has to say.
Does anyone else love doing this as much as I do?
