I think Gaudreau is a top 5 offensively skilled player in the league. I think Barkov is of course the much better overall player, but Gaudreau is the better offensive player.
With that being said, I have no clue what Gaudreau does next season. A safe guess is 82 points. We don't know how he is going to mesh with his teammates. I also don't know what system Columbus employed last season, or what they will do this season.
All I know is that Gaudreau thrives in a high-tempo system. Put him in a "Babcockian 5 man unit" system, and he suddenly becomes the king of the curls along the boards, and turning the puck over and over. He will still probably get a PPG, but he won't be a 'superstar' as he is in a decent system.
