I mean just look at old highlights. This was amazing hockey at the time because it was the best in the world....at the time. But compared to today this is just, slow goofy stuff. Players just meandering around, kind of bumping into each other at half speed in attempts to take the puck, goalies tossing their legs out wildly at players as they approach for a deke, lol.
