Considering his regular-season wins record, not to mention his Cup and Olympic rings, it's interesting Brodeur isn't an automatic number 1.
But I agree, it's between Hasek and Roy. Hasek was simply the most spectacular goalie I've ever seen: a guy who baffled players and fans alike with his completely unpredictable pancake-style goaltending.
Roy was pure clutch (minus his silly showboating gaffe in that Avs-Wings series), and even though Brodeur was clutch too, Roy just had that mystique about him, probably because he pretty much singlehandedly won the '86 Cup. And then there were a mere three more to go.
Of course, the guys who played without a mask, let alone oversized equipment, deserve some recognition as well, just for having the stones to play in net.
