I think it was more to remind WWE that contracts are to be respected. I don't think Khan or Stephanie would have enough interest in anyone enough to try and get sued. Contracts are coming due for multiple people in the short to near-term future so I doubt there's any rush.
Talent knows Triple H is in and Vince is out. That's reason enough to come back to WWE.

I really think at this point there's maybe one or two guys that WWE would love to get their greasy hands on.
WWE is too busy filling their roster with people that Vince hated and HHH loved. So trying to right wrongs.
I keep expecting the Fiend to show up, and I think it will eventually happen.
But I can't see WWE looking at AEW's midcard and risking tampering lawsuits.
