Random weird story: I had a university roommate that was an enormous bike nerd - raced, worked in a shop, spent all winter on rollers. Always had a bunch of bikes in his room, one of which he stripped all the paint off of in the shared living room. Instead of re-painting the steel frame, he just gave it an occasional coat of hair spray to keep the oxidation at bay. Just an odd cat.
