I wonder the backstory behind the Rooney signing. Was there a lot of competition to sign him? Just seemed like a strange day one of FA signing to me. I would have waited till closer to season opening and see who all might be available and if their demands had gone down. Seems like a guy you could sign for league minimum or maybe slightly more unless I'm missing something? Hope he proves me wrong.
