He sounds like a cool guy at the street level, but I wouldn't want him as a teammate now that his goal scoring has died off. I also wouldn't want that attitude rubbing off on young player just coming in to the NHL.

In fairness to Kessel, he did win 2 cups while on that contract, scoring at just under a ppg pace in those two years and arguably being deserving of the Conn Smythe in one of them. He's also the NHL's current iron man streak holder. The guy gas a history of showing up to play.
