Go wander around That Retro Store in Inglewood, they have a wall of drool-worthy stainless fronted hifi gear.

On the present topic, I still have the NAD amp and B&W speakers that I bought in 1986 hooked up in my living room for vinyl. It all still works great. Of the big five appliances in the house, I've fixed the washer, dryer and stove at least once. I paid to have the fridge fixed. And the dishwasher will live forever.

I'm trying to hang on to stuff that is still useful as long as possible, mostly out of a conservation mentality. Less raw materials, less landfill can't be a bad thing. Or maybe I'm completely off base and just cheap?
