I think the entire Oilers fan club is underestimating how much the loss of Smith’s ability to play the puck is going to hurt them. With Bouchard actually having to turn to get the puck is going to highlight his greatest weakness, footspeed. It is going to be a lot easier to hem them in this year. It is going to lead to frustration by the wonder twins and eventually Kane. The Kane implosion is going to be the most fascinating thing to watch. 3 1/2 years of a disgruntled Kane will sink that ship.
