Uh, so how do you want to measure the outcomes of mental health? If we look at the behavior of the average school age child in California vs. Florida, I'm pretty sure California looks MUCH better.
Such a nebulous thing to quantify..."mental health". I don't doubt there were impacts, but I can tell you, having things wide open also created massive uncertainty and disruption in the day to day, so it didn't necessarily improve things that much. I had plenty of mental breakdowns amongst my students, and it had nothing to do with lockdowns.
