My concern is that we're going to be paying a 38 year old $7 million. Everyone here seems to think the cap is going to keep rising, and perhaps they're right. There is a possibility that the cap doesn't rise that much and it hamstrings us going forward. I'd never sign a 31 year old to more than a three year deal.
Giving up a first round pick to be able to sign a 31 year old to a seven year deal? Madness.
