Wow so many putting up a lot of stink about losing a 1st round pick in 2 to 4 years. I am really excited for you guys and think this was a cost of doing business move. You aren't happy about it in a vacuum, but as part of the bigger picture, it helps a good offseason for you guys.
For all those complaining, do you really think there were better deals that were turned down???? What else did you guys expect to happen? And even if you have some hypothetical move of Lucic instead of Monahan, it could be argued Lucic brings more this season. So you are giving up the current for a slightly less painful return in 2-4 years???? And said return won't be in the NHL for like 5-7 years????
