We don't need the money and we don't need to buy a lineup.
Our team is fine with or without Antony.
Plus, the pond that Ajax is fishing in is young, talented and upcoming players.
They usually don't have an 80m+ pricetag so if there was a replacement available we already would have made a move.
Problem is that there are dozens of teams that are fishing in the same pond.
For sure we could make a 100 million bid for Haaland or Nunez or Lewandowski or Bellingham... but they don't want to play in the Eredivisie (and I get that)
I don't know if it's a saying in English but overhere we say 'Te groot voor het servet, te klein voor het tafellaken' (Too big for the napkin, too small for the table cloth)

About Antony; his stats aren't that great but he is a special player. He's the type of player you come to see in the stadiums.
I was at the Ajax - Groningen match last sunday and he was spectacular.
I prefer to keep Antony over 80m. 100m I understand you can't say no to.

Ten Hag is starting to annoy me. The only reason he's in the PL now is because of Ajax.
It was a huge gamble when he was appointed manager by Ajax in 2018.
I know there's no such thing as loyalty in football and it's a dog eat dog world, but he already took Ajax' best player, pushed hard for Timber and now he's making Antony's head go crazy.

Antony skipped training today for unknown reasons.

Emotions aside, United has a much bigger problem than Antony can solve for them.
If I were to spent 80 - 100 million I would spent it on different assets.

See video. I don't see him getting the opportunity to make these moves in the Premier League.
I prefer to see him at Bayern (next season )
