Same stuff was said last season. No one in the division could challenge the mighty Oilers - blah blah blah - only to end up 7 points behind the Flames. With the Wild, Blues and Avs also clearly better than them in the regular season.
Doing all your talking in August - October is what pretenders do. Fans of teams that are legit don't have to proclaim anything before the season starts because they know what they're team is going to be.
