Feeling Murray definitely vetoed the Lucic trade option in favour of this Monahan dump because of the real dollars involved.
I wouldn't have minded the Lucic move since I don't know how good of a hockey player he will be this season. Probably not great. Is the $5M deterrent really worth retaining vs a guy that has a small but real chance of making a comeback and being a shooter on your first PP unit?
Think I'd have preferred the Boston route.
But no regrets in bringing Kadri in. That's worth it still, at the end of the day.
Hate the complicated conditions as well.
