I would think that Pelletier spends another season in the AHL before getting a shot. His and Dube's progression have been nearly identical. Two very good years of junior after getting drafted and then basically PPG seasons in the AHL as rookies. Only difference is that Dube was "rushed" and was called up for 25games. Pelletier has done nothing to show that he would be better than Dube at the NHL level.
Lets not go crazy on expectations, Pelletier is closer to the AHL than being a Dube replacement or even making the team this coming year.

I like Pelletier but I can't imagine Sutter starting him on the 1st line. Dube is more likely to get that crack than Pelletier. At least for the first 30 games of the season.
Toffoli might be a good fit on the top line but Huberdeau is not Gaudreau when it comes to skating. I'm not suggesting Dube is the perfect fit but his speed could be need with our top duo.
