From 2017-2019 Kadri averaged 0.68 PPG which would be about 56 points per season, not 40.
Regardless you have imagined attitude problems based off an imaginary salary.
What if they can sign him to something reasonable? 5 years at 7.5 or something? Is a 56 point two way center worth it? Probably I’d say.
Nobody signing Kadri should expect him to be a 100 point center. He is a gritty, responsible, two way center that can put up 50-60 points (more if the the star align with linemates/PP time).
