Winnipeg are in a similar position to us roster wise. They have a full slate of NHL defencemen but are light on forwards. Even if they keep Schiefle they need another top 6 forward. If the flames do a 2 (and picks) for 1 deal here, unless they are also moving a D to strengthen up front it doesn't make sense.
If they want to tear down, maybe there is a deal to send a salary dump and 3-4 young assets/picks, if that is a deal worth making.
