I loved everything about it, Montreal is such a beautiful city and they put on a great tennis tournament.
I highly recommend visiting Montreal, so much to see and do. So many great restaurants, and the stadium was close enough (about 5KM) from our hotel we could walk there from our hotel. Walking back at 1am as well, we felt completely safe, it was a little eerie because the street was completely empty at that time but beside that it was fine.
As for the tournament, after getting over the disappointment that Rafa wasn't playing, I still had so much fun. The stadium is big but I sat in all 3 levels and thought the view was great for all 3. The first day it was fun staying so late for the night match and moving down to watch the end of the Tsitsipas and Draper match. My wife who's never watched a tennis match before developed a real dislike for Tsitsipas. She didn't like how he went after Draper and was yelling through out the match, she's learning fast. The drinks were a little pricey, came to about $25 for a beer and a wine but that's to be expected I suppose. Hot dogs were excellent as advertised, we did find the stadium didn't have alot of English and the menus were all in French only which was strange, considering everywhere else we went had both options. They also did a great job of having things to do outside the courts. A young girl totally showed me up at the serve speed station she was able to hit 80MPH already it was really impressive. But I did place in the top 5 of the day for the chin up contest so that's something
Overall I highly recommend it, only thing is next event I go to, I'll go to one with Women, would have loved some women's matches as well.
