As for the SB, I can’t see him having to pay anything back if he retired. The SB isn’t an advance, but what he was owed on that date. Some people mentioned that the amount would still be applied to the cap as well, but I can’t find anything online that confirms that.

Since it was money paid for this years service, it’s hard to imagine that it wouldn’t count against the cap.
