But at $3.75M he's not all that overpaid and the sweetener would be much smaller or non existent depending on how teams value his leadership and uber-toughness.

Lucic is an absolute albatross at $3.75 million.
He had 1 goal in his last 57 games including playoffs last year.
The only intangibles he has left are big and scary. Chara also had those and he signed for under a million last season.
The only realistic destination for Lucic to me is Anaheim because he might actually want to play there, and they have oodles of cap space.
