I think Stastny would be a great pickup on a 1-2 year.

Just raises the team's floor at center, and is worst case an insurance on Monahan.

The 3rd line was probably consistently the weakest link up front. Having a solid C with experience who can help lead/drive that line would help the forward group as a whole.

Jarnkrok wasn't a natural C, and Ruzicka wasn't quite ready to be there full time. Stastny is a big upgrade there.
