The romance has gone out of sports. We barely even acknowledge the incredible stuff we see anymore, we just look at the numbers.
Numbers don’t explain the rush you get watching Gaudreau turn into fog in front of a defenseman, or Iggy screaming down the wing and unloading a clapper from 50 feet out that nearly rips a hole in the mesh.
Sports are about watching people do cool #### at an elite level.
Or at least, they used to be. And still ought to be.
I hate when people #### on the CFL for just that reason - it’s obviously not the NFL, but that’s not the point.
The point is, do you want to watch a live football played at the professional level on a warm summer evening in the city you live? Then the CFL is for you. You’ll see some big hits, some nice catches, some deep completions, and you won’t have to leave the country.
