I mean the assumption on these articles is really the best case scenario.

In this case

Nurse lives up to his contract and learns how to play defense (LOL)
Barrie continues to be a 40 point defenseman that they can use as a pp specialist
Ceci doesn't revert back to his levels of awfulness that he hit in Toronto
Kulak continues to have his new team bump, instead of being that meh throwaway guy in Montreal who was a bottom pairing guy on a bad team
Bouchard continues his career progression offensively and improves his backend play, and maybe learns to turn while skating backwards.
That Baggins or Bongbong or boberg isn't a bust like he's trending to.

So in other words, they're solid if everything goes perfectly.

Not likely, and if they trade Barrie to recover cap space that becomes a really thin blueline.
