Not sure how any Flames fans could be that excited about the trade. I would have rather traded for a Kyrou and a pick. Hell, even straight across if need be. At least he's cost-controlled, young and productive (including in the playoffs). Trade is a loss in any way except selling copium to a fairweather fanbase.

Kyrou straight across for Tkachuk would be better than Huberdeau, Weegar, Schwindt, and a 2025 1st round pick. The trade was a loss in every way.
