It's a catch 22 is what it is.
If BT gets Johnny for a good price- he disrespected him and somehow made Johnny agree to the disrespectful contract hence he walked.
If BT overpaid or paid him a "fair" rate - he over paid or if he truly was a good GM he would of done one of his critical duties and get value contracts.
