I agree that Laine is a much better shooter. I'd say there's an argument to be made he has the best shot in the NHL. But being a great shooter doesn't equal more goals.
Laine has an incredible shot, but sucks at creating chances for himself, which is why most of his goals are from distance.
Lindholm, on the other hand, has an elite shot, but is also great at consistently getting himself chances, which gives him way better and plenty more opportunities to score goals.
Laine, with Lindholm's ability to generate chances, would probably win Rocket after Rocket, but he's either not skilled/smart enough to get himself open for better scoring chances, and/or he's just lazy and doesn't care because he knows he can still score tons from distance.
There is soooo much more to scoring than just having a great shot, but PURELY talking about shots, Laine >> Lindholm
