Tre's teams have the 2nd and 3rd best playoff performances out of 32 years (though that first year was inherited). He's soley responsible for the 1st and 2nd best regular seasons in that span, though.
Coming off the high watermark for both regular season and playoffs in 32 years and people still want him fired? lol.

Doesn't mean we'll suck, and a lot could change between now and May. There's cap space, there's some prospects, there's Weegar, and if Markström doesn't have a meltdown that would make a huge difference.
But no, I don't think it's realistic to think we're a top 6 forward away from being contenders. At least not on paper, which is what all we have in August.

Gaudreau technically has played 42 playoff games...mostly underwhelming performances against mostly against crappy teams that got knocked out the next round (ANA '17 and DAL cinderella run being the 2 exceptions).
Huby has 26 total playoff gp. In the last 3 seasons, FLA has faced TBL twice (SCC and SCF), beaten WAS, and lost to NYI in quali round (went to ECF that year)
Gaudreau is 0.81ppg in the last 4 years. Huby is 0.9, which is nothing special, but against much tougher competition. Huby had 10pts in the 6 game series against TBL season before last...otherwise he hasn't been very good, but he's at least shown a higher playoff ceiling against an all-time great team.
