I am. I love that we got Huberdeau. I think we won that trade by a landslide. My contention was with the people who don't think Tkachuk hitting the market is a "unicorn" scenario. Kinda like whe people just throw out crazy ideas like "let's just trade for a Barzal." You know why you can't just trade for a Barzal? Because nobody trades a Barzal.
99.9999999% of the time, the idea of "let's just trade for a Tkachuk" is equally preposterous, because nobody trades a Tkachuk... making acquiring one just about as rare as a unicorn sighting.
It's possible to love the trade and be ecstatic about the return we got, while also acknowledging that Florida got a heck of a return as well.
Also, along the same vein as "Tkachuck won't do as well without Gaudreau," well, we've replaced/upgraded Gaudreau, but I see nothing in our organization that will even come close to taking Chucky's place. We may find that the falloff in winger talent from Huberdeau and the rest of the roster is significant enough that Huberdeau also doesn't do as well as he did last year.
