I love that the best argument against the contract is
"its not like he's so and so" (names 5 players that Huberdeau outscored last season)

If you ever want star players in Calgary you have to pay, heck its probably only a 1M more than a top market would have to pay anyway.

Again the Flames just won the division with Lucic/Monahan over 12M, it will be okay

this whole "6 years tops" is just nonsense, he was NEVER going to sign that...guy would be the top UFA on the market next season

It might be "bad" in 7 years...pretty likely we have a worse contract on the book RIGHT NOW and yet we survive
