I also feel the only reason we got burned in the playoffs, is because for some reason we couldn't defend the rush plays the Oilers did over and over. I mean that is their bread and butter, but somehow we couldn't clue into that. Now we have to endure a year of Oilers fans thinking their team is greater than ours.
As for Americans not wanting to play in a Canadian market. We all knew the bridge deal Tkachuk signed, he wanted to peace out somewhere else. Also Johnny would barely ever wear Flames apparel outside a Flames game. He loved showing off his American bias even in post game interviews. You never seen this from Hanifin. So the writing was on the wall for both of them.
