Before they signed Klingberg the Ducks were below the cap floor, now they're fine. I thought that would have been a fit for Lucic since he still has a home in California, but now there's probably less appeal for them to take him, we'd probably have to throw in a pick or prospect.
The only team below the floor currently is Arizona. Don't think Lucic would have much interest going there in a contract year, wouldn't help boost his stock for getting a contract next season.

I don't think Klingberg changes anything for them. They weren't going to acquire Lucic for free to reach the cap floor - there are a multitude of options on the market for them to take on sweeteners to make the cap floor. They trade for Lucic only if they actually want Lucic.
Anaheim won't be a cap team either, so adding his 5.25 million cap hit won't make a difference to them. What they are concerned with is his actual salary, which is $875K (1 million - Oilers' share lol).
875K is just above entry level right now. If they are interested in Lucic, it is because he can take a regular shift and protect those kids they have. 875 is really a bargain for Lucic right now if you don't care about the cap space - and Anaheim doesn't. I would be shocked if it costs assets to move Lucic right now. I am not sure if he will be moved, but if he is, I would be a bit surprised to see him go with sweeteners. If anything, it will be future considerations or even a small add in return.
