Just a reminder that his agent went on with Eric Francis and talked about Mangi's interest in signing a long-term deal, he said:
“It’s at least in the seven (million dollar) range. Could it be in the eight range? Potentially. If he gets 40 or 45 it could climb to who knows where."
So if that's where they view his value on a 6-8 year deal, signing for only 3 years makes sense in order to get the caphit down to $5.8M.
