If Ohtani could sign an extension, I'd deal in a pretty high price. Frankly I'd pay way more for him than Soto, in a trade. From the sounds of it from Shapiro's interviews yesterday, I don't think they're big game hunting, as they do want a sustainable prospect base. Last year I think they decided to pull the trigger because their prospect base was pretty heavy but it certainly sounds like this is a good place. They definitely need bullpen help, and a couple bats off the bench. I don't think any of them will cost an arm and a leg as there will likely be incremental upgrades.
