Folks, one of our very own just learned he has Cancer. It's stuff like this that will make this game seem somewhat silly but it's also a good time to remember that we have a solid bunch of guys here, many of whom of become friends over the years.
I am happy to say I call Cheese a friend and had the chance to meet him in 2017...the guy actually has a CHEESE license plate on his car; that's dedication! He's also a great cook and makes excellent ribs!
I wouldn't typically post something like this here if it wasn't out there in social media land already but Cheese made a post on his Facebook page this morning, he has many friends around the world so people will eventually find out.
I think he could use our good vibes right now and encouragement that he can beat this thing. If he can use the same shrewd negotiating tactics on the Cancer, it won't stand a chance!
You got this Cheese! Thinking of you buddy and reach out anytime!

Good morning, everyone.
With social media being what it is, I know word will get out, so:
I have been diagnosed with cancer.
The big C, the worst letter in the English language. I allowed myself a few hours of tears and hugs and then got determined.
I have so many friends and family all over the world that it is impossible to get in touch with everyone, hence using this forum as my calling card.
I have taken several tests to determine if it has spread to my blood or bones and both have proven negative. I have a CT scan left and that will determine whether there is spread to internal organs or elsewhere.
Dependent on all these results, I will plan with my specialist in early September to determine my course of action. Surgery, Radiation, a combination of both, etc.
This disease has certainly been the scourge of my family, and I intend to fight it with all my might, and I intend to win. As things move forward, I will let you all know how things progress.
